Members of AOTI enjoy many benefits and opportunities as part of their annual membership.

Membership Fees

AOTI membership is for 12 months regardless of what date you join during the year.

Proof will be required of your status and can either be scanned and e-mailed to or a copy can be posted to the AOTI office.

If joining AOTI as a full time / part time / 1st year graduate you have to provide proof of your Irish qualification / CORU number.

Student members must provide proof of their full time student registration for the current academic year.

If you require your details to be listed on the private practice search section of the website you have to provide a copy of your insurance as private practitioner.  O'Driscoll O'Neill offer AOTI members Private Practice insurance cover which includes Fitness to Practice cover at a hugely discounted rate.  For further details please contact

Becoming a Member

You can join AOTI in one of two ways:

  • Complete the online joining/renewal form
  •  or Complete the Membership Application Form (see right hand side of page) and send in form, with correct fee and proof of status as required to the AOTI Office.

Once you have completed the online process or your application form has been processed in the AOTI Office you will received an e-mail confirming your membership number. If you have to submit any documents, your membership will be on hold until the documents have been received by the office. If no further documents required or if documents were received you will receive an e-mail with a welcome letter and a statement of member benefits. A membership certificate will be posted to your address.

Members working in Private Practice

Members of AOTI who are working privately either part-time or full-time must provide the AOTI with a copy of their insurance to work privately to be included in the AOTI search database availabel to members of the public. This can be done by scanning and e-mailing a copy of your insurance certificate to or by posting a copy of your certificate to the AOTI, Office 201, 18 Herbert Street, Dublin 2.

Membership Policy

It is the policy of AOTI to maintain a register of members of the Association and the Membership Policy states the rules and procedures in relation to gaining entry to AOTI membership. The objective of the Membership Policy is to identify:

  1. The categories of AOTI membership
  2. The eligibility criteria for each category
  3. The membership fees for each category
  4. The procedure for applying for AOTI membership and processing applications
  5. The procedure for renewing AOTI membership and processing applications
