Members of AOTI enjoy many benefits and opportunities as part of their annual membership.

Membership Fees

From 9th January 2017, AOTI membership is for 12 months regardless of date of commencement.    

Proof will be required of your status and can either be scanned and e-mailed to or a copy can be posted to the AOTI office.

If joining AOTI for the first time you have to provide proof of your Irish qualification as an OT or proof of CORU recognition of your qualification if you have qualified outside of Ireland.

Student members must provide proof of their student registration for the current academic year.

If you are joining as a full or part-time member, please provide a letter from your employer stating your employment status.

If you want to be included on the private practice search section of the website you have to provide a copy of your insurance as private practitioner. Discounted insurance is available for AOTI members from O'Driscoll O'Neill.  Policy commence 1st January to 31st December each year.

Becoming a Member

You can join AOTI in one of two ways:

  • Complete the online joining/renewal form
  •  or Complete the Membership Application Form (see right hand side of page) and send in form, with correct fee and proof of status as required to the AOTI Office.

Once you have completed the online process or your application form has been processed in the AOTI Office you will received an e-mail confirming your membership number. If you have to submit any documents, your membership will be on hold until the documents have been received by the office. If no further documents required or if documents were received you will receive an e-mail with a welcome letter and a statement of member benefits. A membership card and certificate will be posted to your address.

Members working in Private Practice

Members of AOTI who are working privately either part-time or full-time must provide the AOTI with a copy of their insurance to work privately to be included in the AOTI search database availabel to members of the public. This can be done by scanning and e-mailing a copy of your insurance certificate  to or by posting a copy of your certificate to the AOTI Office.
