Director of Professional Operations
The Director of Professional Operations is a new role within AOTI in response to the continued growth and development of the organisation. AOTI is a member-based organisation with over 1700 members. As the professional body representing the Occupational Therapy profession in Ireland, our member volunteers are central to the operation of the organisation. The Director of Professional Operations will draw on their professional experience as an Occupational Therapist to work in AOTI and support the member volunteers as well as the continued evolution of the organisation.
Reporting to the AOTI Chief Executive Officer (CEO), they will work as part of a highly motivated small team of staff members. They will also collaborate directly with talented volunteer Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants, in a dynamic environment. Working closely with the CEO and the voluntary Management Team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the professional body.
Director of Professional Development
The Director of Professional Development is responsible for directing all aspects of continuing professional development (CPD) within AOTI. This is a key role within the professional body given the importance of CPD activities and resources for our 1700 members. The purpose of the role of the Director of Professional Development is to continuously develop the AOTI CPD programme and thus support Occupational Therapists to maintain and develop competence and standards in their professional practice.
Reporting to the AOTI Chief Executive Officer (CEO), they will work as part of a highly motivated small team of staff members, in a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will draw on their professional experience as an Occupational Therapist to work closely with the CPD Officer to plan, oversee and evaluate the AOTI CPD programme. The role will involve working collaboratively with AOTI Advisory Groups, Committees, the HSE National Health and Social Care Professionals Office, other HSCP professional bodies and other internal and external stakeholders to deliver a vibrant and responsive CPD programme for AOTI members and the Occupational Therapy profession.
