Recruitment of New AOTI Board Members
The Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland (AOTI) is the professional body serving, promoting and representing Occupational Therapists in the Republic of Ireland. We are the voice for the Occupational Therapy profession.
AOTI provides national leadership to its members and works on behalf of its members with the best interest of the profession and service users in mind. We are the organisation that promotes the profession on behalf of all Occupational Therapists in Ireland. We rely on the voluntary commitment and efforts of our members to achieve our objectives.
AOTI considers current practice in Ireland and abroad, working at both a strategic and operational level to advance the profession in Ireland, to ensure appropriate governance and optimise communication with the public and our members.
AOTI is a company limited by guarantee. Currently it has a membership of circa 2,000 and an annual turnover of approx. €500,000.00. The Association has a staff of five.
We are now seeking volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors of the Association. The term of Board members is normally for a period of 4 years with the option of a second term. The Board is keen to emphasise that while positions are open to all AOTI members, you do not have to be an Occupational Therapist to serve on the Board and can join AOTI as an Associate Member.
Please share this invite with people you know who would be interested in serving on the AOTI Board of Directors.
For anyone interested in joining the Board of Directors, you can find more information in the attached documents:
- Recruitment of New AOTI Board Members: includes information on the role of the Board, applicant qualifications and benefits of Board membership as well as the recruitment process and application form
- Governance Handbook – Board of Directors: provides information on AOTI, corporate governance, how the Board operates and Board structures and roles
Please submit your application to Genevieve O’Halloran, AOTI Chairperson, at [email protected] with ‘Board application' in the subject line.
Should you have any questions or wish to discuss the role further, please do not hesitate to contact the Chairperson.
We look forward to hearing from you.
