New AOTI Delegates to COTEC Announced
Following a recent call for expressions of interest from members the Management Team is happy to announce our new COTEC Delegates
The AOTI Management Team is happy to announce the new AOTI Delegates to the Council of Occupational Therapists for the European Countries (COTEC). Dr Tina Mc Grath has been appointed as the AOTI Delegate to COTEC and Naomi Algeo has been appointed Alternate Delegate. AOTI would like to congratulate Tina and Naomi and wish them the very best with their new roles. Below is a brief biography on Tina and Naomi.
Tina McGrath: Dr Tina McGrath (she/her/hers) works as a Practice Tutor specialising in undergraduate Occupational Therapy clinical education in adult mental health practice. Tina also practices as a consultant occupational therapist and independent scholar. Tina has significant experience of representing Occupational Therapy and AOTI over many years both locally and nationally, and has served a total of 6 years on the Occupational Therapists Registration Board, the statutory regulator of the Irish Occupational Therapy profession, as a member engaged in the practice of the profession. Tina currently sits on the Irish Journal of Occupational Therapy Editorial Board and is also an Approved Member of the Occupational Therapy Europe Register of Experts.
Naomi Algeo: Naomi Algeo (MRes, BScOT) is an Irish Research Council PhD Scholar at the Discipline of Occupational Therapy, Trinity College Dublin, researching cancer survivorship and employment. She has worked clinically in Ireland and the UK. Naomi has extensive experience working across all levels of AOTI with current and previous roles on the AOTI Management Team, Communications Committee, Conference Committee, IJOT Editorial Board, Palliative Care and Oncology Advisory Group. Outside of AOTI, Naomi sits on high-level groups and panels for the Department of Health, Higher Education Authority and Quality and Qualifications Ireland, and the Irish Cancer Society. Globally, she sits on the World Health Organisation Development Group for Cancer Rehabilitation.
