CORU is pleased to announce the appointment of Claire O’Cleary as Interim CEO and Registrar

A qualified pharmacist, Claire has almost 20 years’ experience working across a range of sectors including community pharmacy, pharmacy governance, education accreditation and competency assurance. 

In 2020 Claire was appointed as Head of Education Quality Assurance CORU with responsibility for development and implementation policy in relation to education to support the Council and the Registration Boards. 

As a member of the Senior Management Team, Claire has gained extensive experience of the systems, processes and requirements which support the organisation in delivering its statutory obligation to protect the public through the regulation of the health and social care professionals under CORU’s remit.
