AOTI Launches New Awards

Recognising the essential contribution of AOTI’s volunteer members, Advisory Groups and Professional Committees

AOTI is delighted to announce the launch of two new awards to recognise the important contribution made by our volunteer members across the Association. The new awards are:

• AOTI Volunteer of the Year Award
• AOTI Advisory Group of the Year Award

These awards have been introduced to acknowledge and celebrate the work undertaken by members who give their time, expertise and commitment voluntarily to support AOTI’s work. Our Advisory Groups and Professional Committees play an essential role in helping AOTI serve, promote and represent the Occupational Therapy profession in Ireland, and these awards are one way of recognising that contribution.

The awards are intended to recognise the breadth of voluntary contribution across AOTI, including consistent involvement, teamwork, reliability, member engagement, professional contribution, consultation work, CPD activity, representation and the many other ways members support AOTI’s work throughout the year.

Nominations are now open for both awards. Nominations for the AOTI Volunteer of the Year Award may be made by AOTI Advisory Groups and Professional Committees. Nominations for the AOTI Advisory Group of the Year Award may be made by AOTI Advisory Groups. Full details have been sent to our Advisory Groups and Committees.

The winners will be announced by AOTI in early September 2026, with the award presentations taking place at the AOTI Conference 2026 Dinner on 1st October in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Little Island, Co. Cork.

AOTI warmly thanks all members who contribute voluntarily to the work of the Association. Your time, energy and expertise are hugely appreciated by the staff, Management Team and Board of Directors. These new awards are an important opportunity to highlight the value and impact of member-led work across AOTI.
