Ann Beckett Award 2023 - closing date extended to Friday April 28th 2023

The Ann Beckett Award is a prestigious honour given annually by the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland in recognition of excellence in Occupational Therapy practice. It is named after Ann Beckett who was the first professionally qualified occupational therapist to work in Ireland. Ann was an outstanding occupational therapist and was devoted to people, nature, music and her profession. Through her work she enriched many lives with her humanity, humour and practical approach to life. The Award celebrates the life and work of Ann Beckett and showcases occupational therapists’ innovative and practical occupation-based interventions that demonstrate the core principles of Occupational Therapy.

We welcome entries for practical projects that showcase the use of meaningful activity, involve clients and inspire colleagues.

As well as entering your own project, please encourage your work colleagues to submit an application. The application form just involves a brief overview of the intervention/project being submitted.

Please see the entry guidelines and application form for more details. Entries should be emailed to [email protected]

The extended closing date for the 2023 Ann Beckett Award is April 28th.
