National Programme Office for Traffic Medicine

National Programme Office for Traffic Medicine are delighted to announce that they are running RCPI Certificate in Traffic Medicine 2016 on Tuesday 29 November from 09.00 – 17.00.

The programme includes:

Module One focuses on the theoretical concepts and ideas and can be completed at your convenience at any time online. Completion of Module One is mandatory prior to attending the workshop.
Module Two, the one-day workshop, will focus on the practical skills and complex decisions involved in assessing medical fitness to drive. It will be integrated with case-based discussions and problem-solving sessions.
Following completion of both Module One and Module Two your online assessment will become available.

The Certificate in Traffic Medicine will be awarded on the basis of completion of all components of the course, taking approximately 14 hours to complete in total.

Pre-Course Videos - Online (5 hrs)
Workshop - One-Day (7 hrs)
Post-Course Examination - Online (2 hrs)

Approved for 14 RCPI CPD credits, the Certificate in Traffic Medicine will prepare you to effectively assess a patient or client's fitness to drive in your own clinical setting and aid you in participating in complex decision-making as part of a multidisciplinary team.
