Join the Anne Sullivan Foundation for an interactive training course designed to help you better understand and support individuals who are deafblind

Over three weeks, participants will get an overview of deafblindness, ideas to support communication and functional strategies to suit the varying needs of deafblind learners. This course is suitable for anyone supporting an adult or a child with any degree of combined hearing and vision loss in Ireland. Strategies presented are useful for clients with other needs. Deafblind participants and their families are very welcome.

Modules covered:

  • Introduction to Deafblindness
  • Vision, Hearing and Guiding
  • Communication
  • Functional Strategies for children and adults who are deafblind

Bespoke resources shared exclusively with attendees through an online platform (Padlet).

Course runs online only (not recorded) on the following dates from 2 pm-3.30 pm (Irish time)

Cost: €15 (total for the 3 sessions)

Course presenters: ASF Outreach Team, Deirdre Leech and Sorcha Nallen
