RCSI is hosting this World Sjögren’s Day, 23rd of July from 6-8pm, for 'Snapshots of Sjögren’s' Photovoice Exhibition, communicating patients' experience of living with the disease through the medium of photography. This exhibition captures experiences of living with this serious but under recognised autoimmune connective tissue disease. Through sharing images and stories created by people living with Sjögren’s, the exhibition highlights the significant impact of symptoms like pain, dryness, fatigue and organ damage, many of which are invisible to others.
The exhibition will include an expert panel discussion featuring people who live with Sjögren’s, healthcare professionals, and researchers who will discuss how the photovoice project can help improve awareness, care, and support in Ireland. The event is RCSI CPD Approved: 1 CPD credit. Attendance is free, but please register in advance so we can plan refreshments and ensure a comfortable experience for everyone.
