The Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute are pleased to lead out on this Interdisciplinary HSE NHSCPO funded CPD Opportunity for HSCP Managers.

Please note - there is only one OT manager place available on this course.

ELIGIBILITY: This CPD event is for HSCP Managers only. Participants must be HSE or Section 38/39 employees. This CPD event is open to both Professional Body members and non-members.

COURSE FACILITATOR: Dr. Gearóid Hardy DProf, MBA, BSc

Gearóid is a highly respected authority in the field of organizational and leadership development.  He possesses a diverse range of expertise as a business consultant, certified executive coach, adjunct lecturer, computer scientist, international speaker, and researcher.  Recognized both nationally and internationally as an experienced facilitator, he draws from over 40 years of extensive cross-industry, market and cultural expertise.  Gearóid’s area of research is interdisciplinary working in healthcare. www.gearoidhardy.com

By the end of this study day, participants should be able to:

 - dentify and understand the main reasons why change programmes fail and identify the key issues and activities that the change agent must take into account in ensuring the successful implementation and institutionalisation of a change programme.
 - Understand the roles and responsibilities during change.
 - Explore a range of tools to facilitate you, the team, and colleagues through change.
 - Examine and differentiate alternative approaches to the management of change and their implications for management practice.
 - Explore the unique challenges thrown up by the healthcare context in terms of change management and examined the potentially competing narratives of different stakeholders.
 - Examine the role and ideal attributes, behaviours and values of a successful change agent.
