Functional living skills assessment in mental health settings:
A role for e-mental health and telehealth?

Functional living skill assessment is a traditional component of mental health practice in occupational therapy. Exploring and understanding the person's functional strengths and limitations is core to planning and delivering occupational therapy intervention.

This one-hour webinar takes a fresh look at functional assessment in psychosocial settings, drawing upon current international policy developments and literature that increasingly places optimal function in daily life to the fore of mental health assessment and desired outcome of intervention.

Specifically, the webinar reviews current approaches to functional living skills assessment and describes e-mental health strategies that have the potential to enhance functional living skill assessment.

Also, we explore the question, is it possible to conduct a living skills assessment using telehealth methodology, in mental health practice?

This webinar will be of interest to occupational therapists of all grades working in mental health settings.
