Why Do I Need To Engage in CPD?

Occupational Therapists are required to engage in CPD under CORU Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics and also the AOTI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

CPD Cycle

The CPD Process is cyclical. It includes four stages; Review, Plan, Implement and Demonstrate. Reflection is integral to each stage.

CPD Committee

The primary role of the CPD Committee is to educate AOTI members on CPD, lifelong learning and reflective practice. Committee members are all AOTI members and contribute their time, knowledge and dedication on a voluntary basis. The AOTI Director of Professional Development is also part of the CPD committee. The chairperson role is rotated regularly.
